What do jrotc raiders do

Spring Raider and Fitness Challenges. Arctic Raider Challenge. Wayne Memorial Fitness Challenge. Regional Raider Championship. State Raider Championship. Grand Rapids Pentathlon Raider Challenge. The team to complete ALL of the above in the quickest time won. Raider Team placed 14th in the Nation - Hooah! First Place Winners. The competition included an academic exam, air-rifle marksmanship, push-ups and sit-ups, an obstacle course, and finally a 3K run while carrying a pound pack and crossing a one-rope bridge.

Career Center Golden Knights earn 2nd Place. Our Golden Knight Raiders earned an impressive 2nd Place in the overall competition. Cadets will participate in adventure training and experience beyond that which is available to the average cadet. B: Provide cadets an environment that will challenge them, both mentally and physically by conducting tough physical fitness, obstacle courses, land navigation, and first aid training.

C: Promote leadership development, instill confidence and loyalty, both within the Raider Platoon and through the Corp of Cadets.

D: Set standards of professionalism, though rigorous training and personal example, become the standard bearer of the battalion. The better competitions have plenty of parking and sleeping areas for spectators and participants on-site, as well as concessions and other amenities to make the event fun for all. The exact Raider events differ depending on where you are competing much like every golf course is slightly different but the game is the same. Other events can be maintained and often are held including first aid test, land navigation, etc.

Raider events are specifically designed far less dangerous in comparison to their ROTC-level parallels because Junior ROTC is about citizenship, leadership and physical, mental and emotional wellness.

ROTC is a program designed to provide officers into the U. The current 5 team events that constitue the Raiders are as follows: Cross Country rescue team carries a 75 lb simulated patient on a medical litter over a grueling 1 mile course while carrying 25 lb backpacks traversing oobstacles , The Gauntlet a team run for one mile with 25 lb backpacks negotiating a few obstacles at the half-way mark , the One-Rope Bridge the team constructs a rope bridge following detailed rules and are timed to compete , 3 KM run a team run where members must start and finish together , and the Raider Physical Challenge a sprint team obstacle course with mazes, lifts, jumps, carries, and crawls throughout.

We moved on to Brigade earning 1st place and best time overall for the Raider Physical Challenge, 3rd place in the Gauntlet, and 3rd Place on the 3km run in some very challenging weather! This earned us second place overall. Well done Cadets!
